Here s another photo of Porthgain Harbour. I wanted to capture what the harbour was all about and of course by looking at the Lobster pots you can guess it is a busy fishing harbour. My mum's father was a fisherman and one of my uncles still is to this very day.
Tonight I have added 8 new photos to the site along with information as to when they will be available as prints. You can find 1 in the Great Outdoors Black & White section and 7 in the Great Outdoors Colours section. More will be added shortly and the prints will be slowly added to the store, stay tuned............
I recently posted a landscape version of this photo, but after much consideration I have decided the portrait version has more impact - it was taken from a cliff top overlooking Bosherston Lily Ponds here in Pembrokeshire. A stunning place and a beautiful walk, highly recommended for landscape and wildlife photographers.
Something different.......I did a very similar shot a few months ago of my dogs eye, but now with new camera wanted to try it again. It may not be everyone's idea of a good photo but to me it tells a lot simply because it's my dog, but as any dog owner will know, you can read your dogs every emotion by looking in their eyes.
I took this recently at St Brides Bay, Pembrokeshire. A different scene from the usual photo of St Brides with the cottage overlooking the small stony bay.
Precise location unknown as I'm sure these cliffs have a name, all I know is that I was somewhere between Barafundle and Broad Haven South in Pembrokeshire. I took so many photos that day on a walk that took 5 hours, but what a fantastic day it was.
I've decided to add this print to my exhibition at the Torch Theatre and will be available from next week. It is proving to be the most popular out of many brand new prints which will be available later this year on www.nigeljbevans.co.uk ("Reflections at Porthgain" available only at Torch Theatre until 30th August)
I was very lucky to have a feature in the 'Photo Focus' part of Pembrokeshire Life magazine this month. 8 of my photos were printed and a small article, a beautiful spread which had me smiling all day! There was also a great article on my sister and her work. Thank you to Keith at Pembrokeshire Life, and who knows what next........a cover maybe?
The August edition of Pembroke Life is on sale in most Pembrokeshire newsagents £2.50
